We were awarded the contract for all of the site preparation, trench footings, and interior and exterior flat concrete. This Project was started in late summer of 2009 and completed in late fall of 2009.
PROJECT DETAILS:
Excavation:
- Demolition of existing asphalt parking lot
- Cut lot down 2’ to accept new building pad and parking lot
- Installation of grease interceptor
- Installation of new waterline, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer lines(these connections were made in the street, which added another layer of difficulty)
Foundations:
- Trenched and poured all of the footings for the new structure
Flat Concrete:
- All interior slab concrete was poured, with different thicknesses at different locations
- Exterior dumpster pad and foundation
- All exterior curbing, including curbs with integral walks
- Colored and Stamped concrete walks
- Parking lot aprons
Difficulties on this project:
We were given a 4 week window to get all of the site work, foundation and slab work complete. We actually completed our contract except for the stamped concrete and the aprons in 3 ½ weeks.
